There two categories of wrinkles: dynamic and static wrinkles. Perform facial exercises
Try meditation or yoga for promoting good mental and physical health. Some exercises for your face come handy too. A good example is to grip your brow bone with the thumb and index finger. Do it gently to raise the eyebrow and then apply slight pressure using the finger to push your eyebrow down. Repeat this five times.
Minimize exposure to the sun
One of the common causes of varied skin problems is exposure to sun. The ultraviolet rays can have damaging effect on your skin and if the exposure is prolonged, it hastens the loss of elastin and collagen, thus causing premature aging of your skin. Always apply sunscreen if you have to go out in the sun. And drink lots of water to keep your skin moisturized.
Botox injections or cosmetic surgery
When the underlying facial structure begins to sag, chances are high wrinkles will appear and the nasolabial folds can become pronounced. In such cases, botox injections are known to smooth wrinkles and fine lines as the forehead muscles get paralyzed temporarily. Dermal fillers can also be used in case you want to remove wrinkles or deep skin folds.
Quit smoking
Did you know that smoking also causes premature aging? It constricts the blood vessels that are present in the epidermis, thus limiting blood flow to your skin. Since there are chemicals used in producing cigarettes, they cause damage to elastin and collagen.
